The usual gambit if PE, library, chaplaincy, healthcare, canteen etc are provided. The Shannon Trust, who help people with reading difficulties, is active within the prison. Educational courses, both in basic numeracy and literacy ranging up to variety of vocational courses in bricklaying, plastering, joinery, BICS, Waste management are available.
Like all prisons, Berwyn is a non smoking establishment, and support will be given to those ex smokers who require help in giving up.
