Regimes at Lancaster Farms

Education is provided in partnership with Manchester College focused on the basic of numeracy and literacy. There are additional courses in a number of vocational areas including Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, Joinery, Wall Tiling, Electrical Installations, Arts, IT, Catering, Motor Vehicle, Waste Management, Horticulture, Farms & Gardens, Industrial Cleaning, Hospitality, Physical Education, Digital Publishing, Employability Skills and Business. Nationally recognised qualifications can be obtained in these skills.

Offending Behaviour Programme (Thinking Skills) is available to prisoners, as is Restorative Justice. There are numerous outside services available at the prison such as the Probation Service, Manchester College, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, National Careers Service, Jobcentre Plus, POPs, Shelter and The Prince’s Trust.
