Visits & Getting There, HMP & YOI Feltham

As you would expect, visits are held at different times for the 15-18 yrs and the 18-21yrs

  • For those between 15-18 visits are held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 13:00-16:30 Sunday 13:00-14:45.
  • Visits for the older 18-21’s are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday 13:00-16:30 and Sunday 15:15-16:30

To book a visit call 0208 844 5400. Lines open 08:15-20:00 Mon-Fri. Sat & Sun 08:15-11:45. As at all prisons, visits must be booked at least 24hrs in advance. You can also book visits in person at the visitors centre after the end of each visiting session.

The visitors centre is run by the Spurgeon’s Charity (click here)  . Arrive at the centre at least 30 mins before your visit so that the admin and security checks can be carried out in good time, remember to have Photo ID and proof of address. If you arrive for your visit with less then 45mins left of the visiting period you will not be able to enter, so don’t be late!

You can only take £10 into the visits hall to buy light refreshments and you will not be allowed to take in mobile phones, cigarettes, food and drink etc into the prison.

By Bus catch the H26 from either Feltham or Hatton Cross. Ask driver for nearest stop to the prison. Feltham station connects with both London Waterloo and Reading railway stations. Underground station – Hatton Cross is on the Piccadilly Line. Click here for timetables.

By car,  HMP&YOI Feltham from North (M1 and M25). From M1 exit on J21a anticlockwise onto M25. Exit M25 at junction 13 .Take A30 Staines bypass. Go straight over traffic lights, continuing on A30 towards London. At next roundabout take 3rd exit into Bedfont Road. Bear left on next small roundabout. Directly after bridge over railway turn right into HMP &YOI Feltham.

From the south (M3) Sunbury Cross. Take 1st left into A308 -Staines Road West. At traffic lights turn right into A244 – Chertsey Road. Go straight ahead at junction by Sawyers Arms (flats on right, field on left).Turn left at next lights, and HMP&YOI Feltham is next turning on left.

From the West (M4). Leave M4 at exit 3. Take A312 – The Parkway towards Heathrow Terminal 4. Straight over at roundabout. At roundabout take 2nd exit into Bedfont Road. Bear left on next small roundabout. Directly after bridge over railway turn right into HMP&YOI Feltham.

Parking is restricted at the prison.
