The prison provides an extensive range of workshops and training facilities in addition to the usual roles within the farms and gardens areas. These include

  • BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science),
  • Industrial Cleaning,

The education department, in conjunction with the A4e organization provides courses in literacy and numeracy alongside more advanced courses in computer skills. There is an extensive library available for prisoners.
