Work & Education at Swaleside

The education programme, provided under contract from Manchester College, delivers a wide range from basic education in numeracy and literacy to Open University courses, with the full-time equivalent of 120 places.

Work is available in the workshops and the industrial complex in the prison and there are the usual array of orderly jobs available. The employment activities range from industrial cleaning to engineering, from employed PE to working in commercially run industries.
