Visits are held at weekends only between 13:30-15:30 each day
The prisoners arrange the visits and have to pass on to the visitors the details. Even though it is a Cat D prison, the usual rules regarding mobile phones etc still apply, and you will still be required to provide photo ID and proof of address before entering the visits area. The prison supports ROTL’s and ccommunity visits for eligible inmates 09:00 – 17:30 Saturday or Sunday can be approved by application.

The nearest rail links are Abergavenny to the North, (15 miles) and Newport, Cwmbran or New Inn (Pontypool) to the South ( around 10 miles). Buses are not frequent. Click here

If driving, Prescoed situated some 3 ½ miles from Usk – – from the High Street in Usk go over river turn immediately left over river bridge, continue to Llanbadoc some 300 yards, turn right in front of Llanbadoc Church before cottage (signposted Llandegveth Reservoir/Prescoed) – take care – narrow road – continue along road for approx 2.5 miles – take left fork in road – take care – very narrow – after approx 0.5 mile – Prescoed Camp situated on right hand side.
