HMP Lowdham Grange, General Details

HMP Lowdham Grange opened in February 1998 and holds nearly 900 male adult prisoners, the majority serving sentences of more than 4 years.

It has operated under a private finance initiative contract since it opened in 1998. The contract was initially held by Serco Justice and Immigration, part of Serco Plc. On 16 February 2023, Sodexo Justice Services became the new contract delivery company.

The director of the prison is Damian Evans, who has been in charge since April 2023.
