As the prison is a Cat D establishment, the prisoners are rarely confined to their rooms and can freely access the facilities within the prison.
Activities Hub: a services for all prisoners that offer support during sentence up to the point of release. Services include: Shelter, National Careers Service, Achieve and Job Centre Plus.
Healthcare: A part time doctor and qualified nursing staff provide for the health needs of individuals each day. Dentists, well man clinics, smoking cessation, podiatry, vaccinations and chronic disease are available at the prison from visiting practitioners. The service is provided by the NHS.
Gymnasium and Sports: Gym including a weights area and a CV area. There are snooker and pool tables as well as table tennis. The prison has an outside crown bowling green
Chaplaincy; Full time Chaplain and part-time cover includes Chaplains from denominations including Muslim, Free Church, Roman Catholic and Anglican. With open access to prisoners the multi faith room and Chapel offer a weekly programme of services.
