Library : there is a well stocked library with frequent access allowed to the prisoners

Chaplaincy: The Chaplaincy provides spiritual and pastoral care for all religions. There is a full-time chaplain and part-time chaplains from all the major religions who work as a multi-faith team. Each major religion has an hour corporate worship and a group each week.

Gymnasium: The prison provides a diverse PE programme that includes nationally recognised fitness industry qualifications, substance misuse programmes, healthcare referral programmes and recreational PE.

Drug Strategy: The strategy in the prison is:

  • To identify people who have substance misuse issues.
  • Provide advice, treatment and support appropriate to their needs, and to
  • Restrict the supply of drugs and their distribution at HMP Kennet

Probation: Probation officers are seconded to the prison from the local probation service

Medical Facilities: provided by the NHS
