Visits are held Wednesday-Sunday between 14:00-16:00.
You book visits by phone Monday-Thursday and Friday morning on 01772 443 503 The phone is manned 9:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00 (closed Friday afternoons) When you call you should have Prisoners Name and Prison Number, Visiting Order Number, Colour of the Visiting Order, Date wish to visit, Confirmation of visitors listed on the Visiting Order.
There is a visitors Centre which is open 5 days a week (Wed – Sun) from 11:30 – 16:00. Click here for more details or call 01772 622 129. As at all prisons you will require photo Id and proof of address before being admitted to the prison, and the prison will take your biometric details like hand/fingerprints. There are restrictions on what you can take into the prison, no mobile phones, cigarettes, food & drink etc, and you will be searched before going into the visits hall. You are advised to arrive in good time for your visit, allow an hour for all the security and admin processes. If you are alte for your visit you may be denied entry into the prison! You can leave items in the lockers in the visiting centre (£1 deposit for the locker) .There is a tea/coffee bar in the visits hall and you can take in up to £15 in change.

The nearest main railway station is Leyland which is about 6 miles away from the prison. Click here for train times, Taxis are available at the station, call 01772 424242. The nearest minor station is Croston which is around 1-2 miles away, but there are limited facilities and there may not be any taxi’s, call 01772 600489. The bus #112 runs from a stop outside the Queens Hotel in Leyland to the prison (bus timetables)
By Car: From M6 (junction 28): Turn left, follow mini-roundabout, go straight across and follow road to traffic lights. Turn left, go through next set of lights, follow road round to right (leisure centre on left). At end, turn left and then immediately right. Follow road to end (mini-roundabout) and turn right. At next mini-roundabout, go straight across. Bear left into Slater Lane and go straight across at the traffic lights. Follow the road to the end and turn left. Garth is approximately one mile on the right (follow signs).
