Regimes at Eastwood Park

Nine Pathways: The prison runs a course known as “the nine pathways” which addresses the prisoners needs and attitudes in accommodation, employment, training and education, health, drugs and alcohol, finance, benefits and debt, children and families, and attitudes, thinking and behavior

Short Duration Programme : aimed at reducing re-offending and substance misuse.

Enhanced Thinking Skills (ETS) : develops skills such as problem solving, social perspective taking, moral reasoning and social skills.

Stepping Stones: a day centre facility for prisoners who are struggling to cope with prison life, those with mental health issues or who are generally vulnerable.

Carousel : aims to reduce self harm and increase self-esteem and coping skills

Anti-Social Behaviour Programme (ASBP) : addresses bullying and other forms of anti-social behaviour.

Healthy relationships, Stress Management and Personal Development : run by the educatio department as part of the Personal Health Education programme.

Support for abused and raped women: aimed at raising self-esteem. There is a voluntary organisation that also provide regular individual counselling at Eastwood Park for women who are survivors of sexual abuse.

Counselling Support. Indivually tailored psychology sessions for women affected by violence, including, Self-harm, Anxiety, Depression, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Poor adjustment to prisons, Domestic Violence and Sexual-abuse.

Support for women who have been involved in prostitution. : aims to provide advice for women in prison who work in the sex industry, introducing them to appropriate support networks.

Resettlement- The Gateway Unit; for women wanting to resettle in the South West, priosners towards the end of their sentence can be granted ROTLs for volunteering or working near the prison.

Information, Advice and Guidance: an active Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service is offered, assisted by the use of orderlies who can take up IAG or counseling qualifications.

Healthcare: provided by the NHS and Bristol Community Health, Hanham Health and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust
