Regimes at Dartmoor

HMP Dartmoor has a range of employment and Resettlement opportunities for prisoners. Education is available full and part time and is provided in conjunction with Weston College. Courses offered are from basic numeracy and literacy to distance learning such as Open University.

Vocational training includes electronics, brickwork and carpentry, painting and decorating, industrial cleaning and Desk Top Publishing. Land based courses are offered by Duchy College.

Employment is offered in catering, farms, gardens, laundry, textiles, Braille, contract services, furniture manufacturing (book shelves and garden furniture), all of which can lead to vocational qualifications.

Offending behaviour courses include Thinking Skills Programme, A-Z Motivational Training, Substance Misuse, Alcohol and violence and alcohol action programme
