Visits & Getting There, HMP Coldingley

Visits are at the following times

  • Mon: 14:00 – 16:00
  • Wed: 09:00 – 11:00 (enhanced visits only) & 14:00 – 16:00
  • Thu: 14:00 – 16:00
  • Fri: 14:15 – 16:15
  • Sat: 14:15 – 16:15
  • Sun: 09:00 – 11:00 & 14:15 – 16:00

You can book online, go to www.gov.uk/prison-visits. All you need is the name and date of birth of the person you are visiting and their prisoner number, along with the names and dates of birth of the visitors. You can choose up to 3 possible dates and times. Prison booking staff will check what’s available and confirm your visit by email. If you’ve made an online visit booking request and haven’t received a confirmation email within 1-3 working days, call 01483 344 418, lines open 9:00 – 12:00, 14:00 – 16:00 & 18:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday. You can also book a visit by calling that number (01483 344 418)

There is a visitors centre at the prison where you can book in for your visit. Remember to leave enough time to complete the formalities and administration before your visiting time. Liike at all prisons, you will be required to bring some photo ID ( passport or driving license) along with proof of address.

Getting there:

The prison is located in the village of Bisley, near the town of Woking in surrey. Woking station is about 5 miles away from the prison and trains from London (Waterloo) (click here for train times)  take approximately 25 minutes. At the station take # 34 or 44 bus (click here for timetables)  and ask to stop at the Hen and Chickens Public House. It is a 5-minute walk along Shaftesbury Road to the prison. There is a taxi rank at the station.

If traveling bay car from the M3, leave at junction 3 and take the A322 towards Guildford. After 3 miles you will enter the village of BISLEY. Shaftesbury Road is on the right at the corner of the Hen and Chickens public house. From the A3, leave the A3 at Guildford and take the A322 towards Bagshot. After about 7 miles you will enter the village of Bisley, Shaftesbury Road is immediately on the left after the Hen and Chickens public house.

There is a visitors’ car park available, with disabled parking for badge holders.
