HMIP on Staying in Contact with Family

Every now and again HMIP produce brief reports which touch on the human issues of being in prison, and they have recently published a brief paper dealing with “Contact with Families and Friends”

The report deals with how prisoners are able to stay in contact with those on the outside while DoingTime. It is aimed at academics/prison management rather than the general public but does provide some insight as to how the system really works in practice.
