HMP Stafford, Visits and getting there

Domestic visits take place between 1400 hours and 1600 hours Tuesday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. All visits must be pre-booked on 0300 060 6505.

There is a Visitors Centre, which opens at 1300 hrs, which has facilities for buying snacks, baby changing and a children’s play area. You will be allowed to take up to £20 into the visits hall to purchase teas and coffee etc

Transport to the Prison

If you want to plan your journey on public transport visit the the traveline web site (click here). It is an excellent way to plan your visits.

The prison is close to the town centre 15 min walk from Stafford train station. There are no suitable bus services.
