Visits are held at the following times:
- Mon – Fri: 09:00 – 12:00, 13:15 – 15:00, 15:30 – 17:15
- Sat & Sun: 10:45 – 12:15, 12:45 – 14:15, 14:45 – 16:15
You can book a visit on 01302 767992, (lines are open – Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00 Fri 08:30-1600) a booking reference number will be given and should be kept. Alertativly the priosner books the visits and gives the visitors the details. Each visits session is of 1 ½ hours duration. You should get to the visitors centre ½ hrs before your visit, if you arrive with less than 30 mins remaining you will be denied the visit .Visits can be booked up to a week in advance.
You are not allowed to take personal belongings like mobile phones or cigarettes into the visits hall and these must be left in lockers at the Visitors Centre. (£1 key deposit). You will be searched by prison staff before being admiteed to the visits hall . You will also need to provide photo ID and proof of address to the priosn officers before going into the prison.

The prison is ½ mile (15 minutes walk) from Doncaster railway station click here . Leave the station and turn left and walk for about 300 yards, cross the North Bridge and on the left you will find steps going down. The prison is straight ahead on the left. Taxis are also available outside the railway station.
If driving :
- from the south, leave the M18 at junction 2 and take the A1(M) north bound. Exit at junction 36 and take the A630 east bound towards Doncaster. Go straight on until you come to a major roundabout and turn left towards the train station. At the second roundabout (St George’s) take the second exit over the new bridge. At the bottom of the bridge turn left and follow the signposts through the Riossi and Dixon motor dealerships.
- from the M6 change onto the M62. Continue on the M62 to junction 33 and change onto the A1 south bound. Join the A1(M) and exit at junction 36 onto the A630 towards Doncaster. Go straight on until you come to a major roundabout and turn left towards the train station. At the second roundabout (St George’s) take the second exit over the new bridge. At the bottom of the bridge turn left and follow the signposts through the Riossi and Dixon motor dealerships.
- from the north east exit the A1(M) at junction 36 onto the A630 towards Doncaster. Go straight on until you come to a major roundabout and turn left towards the train station.
