Work & Education at Whitemoor

The regime at HMP Whitemoor includes vocational training courses in the construction industry which are, Painting and Decorating and Plastering.

Production workshops include a recycling work and a Laundry. Restorative Justice work involves desk top publishing and the refurbishment of computers in partnership with I.T. Schools Africa. Industrial cleaning and woodwork are also offered.

Other work opportunities such as domestic work and Prison kitchen are also available. There are also educational opportunities involving full-time, half-time and part-time education and peripatetic services. Courses include Foundation, GCSE, Level 3 Access to Higher Education, Open University, Skills for Life workshops and opportunities for Personal and Social Development.There is a strong focus on ICT aimed at development of Functional Skills to University Level.
