Flower cultivation at Wealstun

All spoof data for test purposes

During 2014 the prisoners at Wealstun grew over 10,000 bedding plants which were used in the floral displays in the gardens and parks of Wetherby. The awards won by Wetherby in the annual Gardens and Park competition run by Yorkshire in Bloom is in no small part down to the quality and quantity of the plants supplied by Wealstun.

The gardens at the prison employ 2 full time staff, the rest of the 18 strong workforce is made up of serving prisoners.
