The purpose built Education Department can offer a wide range of learning opportunities ranging form basic literacy and numeracy to Open University Courses. Education is provided by City College Manchester, and includes Turning Pages reading assistance. An accredited course in industrial cleaning (British Industrial Cleaning Science BICS) is also available for offenders
There is a well stocked library which is available to the majority of prisoners
