You will need £1 for a deposit for your lockers as you will not be allowed to take certain items into the prison ( mobile phones, cigarettes, food & drink etc).

You will need to have Photo ID and proof of address before being admitted to the prison, and you will be searched by the prison staff. The visits hall itself sells teas/coffee etc.

The prison, with the help of the visitors centre, run Family days at regular intervals throughout the year at monthly intervals. These visits allow a more informal atmosphere between children and prisoners. There are also family days focused solely on adults, which again benefit from a more relaxed environment.
