Visits & Getting there, HMP Kirkham

Visits are held on Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 13:00-15:30. As at Cat D prison many prisoners are eligible for ROTLs

The visits are booked via application by the individual prisoner. The visitor will be required to provide photo ID and proof of address when attending the visit, and as at all prisons they can’t bring items such as mobiles, cigarettes, food & drink etc into the prison. It is likely that you will be searched before entry to the prison There is a visits centre where you can leave items in lockers during your visit click here or call 01772 675 456 and you should book in here at least 30 mins before your visiting time. You can buy refreshments in the visits hall, but the café bar will only accept coins (no notes)

You can book a visit online, go to www.gov.uk/prison-visits. All you need is the name and date of birth of the person you are visiting, their prisoner number and the visitors details. You can choose up to 3 possible dates and times. Prison booking staff will check what’s available and confirm your visit by email. If you’ve made an online visit booking request and haven’t received a confirmation email within 1-3 working days, email [email protected]. Don’t assume you have booked a visit until it is confirmed by the prison
