Education is provided by Manchester College. There are courses on a wide variety of subjects including vocational opportunities such as bricklaying, construction training, gardening, industrial cleaning and barbering. Work includes light manufacturing and engineering
The prison runs a number of programs for its prisoners including Alcohol Awareness, Anger Management, CALM ( Offending Behaviour), Cognitive Skills Booster Programme, Coping Skills programme, Drug Awareness/ Communicable Diseases and Enhanced Thinking Skills. Resettlement clinics are held monthly for prisoner nearing the end of their sentence where employment, housing and resettlement advice is available.
