The catering contract at Brinsford has been awarded to 123 Limited. 123 provide the catering for prisoners and inmates at over 10 prisons in the Midlands area, serving over 45,000 meals a day. New menus will be introduced over the next 3 months offering a wide choice to cater for the different ethnic and religious requirements of their customers, and increasing the quality and quantity of the meals offered.
The kitchens at Brinsford employ 4 full time chefs, the majority of the food preparation, cooking and serving is carried out by the prisoners themselves.
