Car parking has always been difficult at HMP Birmingham, with pressure on the few available spaces. This is about to get even more difficult during September and October as re cabling work is being carried out by the local council to allow for ultra high speed internet connections to be laid. Whilst the staff at the prison visits centre will be sympathetic, remember that they are not allowed to let you into the visits hall when there is less than 1 hours to the scheduled end of visits,a nd if you are later than that you will be denied entry, so leave plenty of time to find that elusive car parking space!
